The story of this design
A small kayaker with a raised paddle, picking through steep, cold swells rendered in rough, scratchy red brush strokes — JP kept the strokes raw on purpose, because that's what that water actually feels like. The lettering reads like a real tour outfit: “North Atlantic Kayak Co. — Guided Coastal Tours, Portland, ME.” Fog optional, but likely.
Portland, Maine is the return address — the North Atlantic is the office. A hand-sketched kayaker picks through steep, cold swells under hand-lettered tour-company type, drawn for sea kayakers who know the guided version and the real thing are the same water.
